Why Teacher Training Might Make Sense for You

At some point in your practice, you may start to feel curious.

You’re no longer just moving through poses. You begin to wonder why. Why certain sequences feel the way they do. Why the breath matters. Why some classes stay with you long after you leave.

It’s often around this point that a 200-hour yoga teacher training begins to make sense. Not because you have to teach, but because you’re ready to understand more.

It’s not just about teaching

One of the most common hesitations we hear is, “I’m not ready to teach.”

The truth is, many people who enroll in teacher training aren’t planning to teach at all. They come to deepen their practice, to learn more about the foundations of yoga, and to better understand their body and their breath.

At the same time, some people do feel a pull toward teaching, and others discover that interest while they’re in the training.

You don’t have to have that part figured out before you begin.

And along the way, something begins to shift.

This is where things start to make sense

In a regular class, you experience the practice.

In teacher training, you begin to understand it. Why you move a certain way. How the breath supports the body. How alignment, sequencing, and intention all work together.

It’s not about doing more. It’s about seeing more clearly.

The practice extends beyond the mat

The tools you learn in teacher training don’t stay in the studio.

They begin to show up in everyday life. In how you handle stress. In how you respond. In how you take care of yourself.

This is something both Cyndi and Carly feel deeply about. It’s not just about guiding students through a class, but about offering something that carries into real life.

Learning in a space that supports you

Teacher training is a commitment of time, energy, and resources. It’s natural to pause and consider whether it’s the right step.

Cost can feel like a barrier, which is why we offer flexible payment plans to make the training more accessible.

And for many, the hesitation isn’t just about cost. It’s the feeling of not being ready.

What we’ve found is that when people feel supported, guided, and part of something meaningful, that hesitation begins to soften.

You don’t have to have it all figured out. You don’t have to be the most experienced person in the room. You simply have to be willing to show up and learn.

Don’t take our word for it

Here’s what our most recent graduates have to say:

My experience in breathe’s 200-hour teacher training was everything I had heard it would be, and so much more. It was a beautiful, life-changing journey that’s hard to put into words — something you really have to experience to understand. I’m so grateful for the group I learned alongside. If you’re considering it, my advice is simple: just do it. It’s a deeply rewarding experience that will enhance your life in ways you don’t expect

I have been practicing yoga for over 10 years and decided to take this training for my own personal growth and self-reflection. Completing the program was both powerful and grounding. I gained knowledge, confidence, and a deeper connection to my practice. I’m so thankful for the guidance, community, and inspiration that made this journey so meaningful. I met an incredible group of women and will always feel connected to them. I’m especially grateful to Cyndi and Carly for creating such a memorable experience. It truly is life changing.

I signed up for teacher training expecting to learn how to teach a yoga class, and I left with so much more. While I learned a tremendous amount about yoga, I learned even more about myself. I became a more free and authentic version of who I am through this process, and I know that will continue to shape me as I grow. I’m incredibly grateful for the knowledge and time Cyndi and Carly shared to make this experience so meaningful and impactful.
